Performance Analysis of Multi Chamber Reactive Silencer for Acoustic Control on Effect of Back Pressure
Abstract
day to day life for the noise reduction in the fields such as
Automotive, industrial plants etc. reactive silencer works on
the principle of sending pressure waves back to the source.
For acoustic control it is observed that the production of
specific sound is due to back pressure produced by the
striking hot gases. In order to find the effect of sound with
change in back pressure the author has made three different
configuration of tuning chamber and the back pressure created
is measured with different RPM of engine and the sound
produced is observed..
