Experimental Evaluation of IPS Using RSS and Directional Antenna
Abstract
has some inherent advantages. In RFID based indoor
positioning system, received signal strength is widely used
method to find out the position of a mobile object. Though
RSS method requires less time complexity but it becomes
more complex as scalability factor is concerned. To improve
such a range system antennas can be used to boost the strength
of wireless networks. The directional antenna can affect the
gain in throughput and deduction in power consumption. So
the proposed system is introduced the combination of RSS
with directional antenna to enhance the of quality of service in
terms of accuracy, jitter, delay, mean deviation and throughput
with respect to scalability. Improvement of these parameters
with directional antenna over omni-directional antenna is
demonstrated.
